the plymouth stable story
cider-loving pizza makers
At the heart of the harbour, you'll find us moored in Plymouth's bustling Barbican waterfront. We have a terrace and views out over the riggings, so there's plenty to see when you stop in for a pint.
Speaking of which, we've got over 50 varieties of cider on offer - scrumpy, sweet, sparkling or still, there's something for everyone and new styles to try all the time. Our Cider Master can help you choose, if you're stuck for choice. Our delicious pizzas break all the rules - with sourdough bases, homemade tomato sauce and locally sourced toppings piled high, we've reach pizza nirvana.
We are Dorset Mind; a pioneering local charity that has been supporting local people with mental health challenges since 1946. We educate, challenge mental health stigma and inequality, and promote recovery by empowering individuals to develop resilience. Our support groups, counselling and accredited befriending service help people regain social skills. We also deliver educational wellbeing programmes for schools and workplaces and provide volunteer opportunities across all areas of our organisation.
Proudly partnered for over two years, The Stable and MIND, the mental health charity, are making a difference in our community. We’ve paired with our local branch to ensure that the impact to projects and campaigns is felt by our immediate neighbours.
The Stable’s partnership with Dorset Mind has been a fundamental part of the bars’ identity since joining forces over three years ago. The real difference the charity makes in the local community is something that The Stable truly believes in. Stablehands have run marathons, organised craft fairs, made Christmas decorations, dressed up and given their time to events and drives. Customers are given an option to donate via the card payment system, with proceeds going to Dorset Mind and their projects.
